Cool Yet Unidentifiable Plant
I love to garden and I have flowers everywhere, but I'm horrible at remembering the names of any plants except very common ones such as petunias, marigolds, alyssum, snapdragons, celosia, moss rose. I think you get my point.
I did as much research as I could on the above plant, but alas, I can find nothing under native Kansas or Oklahoma wildflowers. We have several of these in one of our pastures. I thought perhaps some kind of milkweed or pod, but I'm not finding anything that looks similar when I search for that moniker.
So go ahead, throw in your two cents worth... what do YOU think this is?

May be some type of milk weed. Beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, agreed... it almost has to be at least in the milkweed family. Or one would think! Hope you get the answer!
ReplyDeleteNearest I could find was Sullivan's milkweed - let us know when you find out!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a milkweed to me too. Great picture anyway!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. I have no idea what it is...Very cool though!!
ReplyDeleteHaven't got a clue but it makes an interesting subject.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to say just looking at the seed pod (it's very attractive, though). I can safely say that I haven't seen it in Bermuda! I'm sure that helps you a lot!
ReplyDeleteMilkweed or Asclepias ..no idea from your photo which one in that Family it is.. but I am positive it is a Milkweed:)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes....milkweed for sure! We have scads of them around here.
ReplyDeleteI haven't a clue but it's a great shot.
ReplyDeleteit looks very interesting - but I don´t know what it could be!
